History of City Tavern

In 1772, the Philadelphia City Tavern served as the meeting place where the Signers of the Declaration gathered to discuss how to fight off tyranny and establish an American nation of freedom and democracy.

Like the pioneers of the original pub, childhood friends Grant Quezada and Jesse Burke opened the City Tavern Taproom with the vision of a future rooted in freedom and collaboration.

Come pour yourself a glass, pull up a chair, and share experiences today with those who may very well be the makers of history tomorrow.

A flight of beer

From Our Guests

“I couldn’t find a reason not to give this place five stars. Bloody mary and mimosa flight’s on the patio is a great way to start a Sunday.”

~ John G.

From Our Guests

“The selection of beer is extensive. I appreciate you are charged for the ounces you pour. I drink slowly, so I can pour a half glass at a time and not worry about losing freshness or temperature. The back patio is on the creek and beautiful, and the food truck was good too. I highly recommend.”

~ Dorothy M.

From Our Guests

“Okay, listen up, Prescott people. This place is wonderful and truly unique. Beautiful creations around it, and you can choose to sit on the gracious outside deck on the creek or inside with an old-style funky feeling. Either way, the atmosphere is wonderful.”

~ Dezi P.
